My Therapeutic Approaches

I utilize an array of approaches when working with clients, dependent on one’s life story and current challenges.

These include but are not limited to:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy - useful for addressing distorted thinking and stuck thoughts

  • Exposure Response Prevention - used to treat OCD by having clients confront fears and refrain from ritualizing

  • Mindfulness - helpful for calming anxious minds that see fires where there are none

  • Psychodynamic Theory - examines how one’s childhood experiences and attachment to primary caregivers shape adult personality

  • Solution Focused Therapy - emphasizes present problems and seeks timely resolutions

  • Systems Theory - looks at how the individual operates within the context of his/her family

  • Trauma Informed Treatment - considers the impact of trauma on behavior and mental health
